Meet Our Instructors

Hanna Denham

Hanna Denham is a Southern California–based Hand Balancing Contortionist and educator whose passion for movement and performance spans more than a decade. She has honed her craft under the guidance of elite coaches both locally and abroad, continually refining her technique and broadening her expertise.

As a Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, Hanna has performed with leading companies and arts schools worldwide. However, her greatest fulfillment comes from empowering students to achieve extraordinary skills through structured training, mindful dedication, and a deep understanding of anatomy and body mechanics.

At her studio, Hanna integrates strength training and flexibility work to help students cultivate both physical balance and mental resilience. She teaches that mastering one’s body fosters a stronger, more confident mind—and that this principle benefits every athlete, regardless of discipline.

Committed to her students’ well-being, Hanna creates a supportive, creative environment where they can explore and showcase their talents. She regularly produces live performances and films, providing opportunities for her students to share their personal artistic journeys on stage and screen.

Jess Ordon

Pole Performer, Instructor & ACE-Certified Personal Trainer

Jess Ordon has been training at Art in Flexion since 2017, and she is a dedicated pole performer and instructor. Holding a BA and MA in Theatre Arts, Jess’s journey in performance began with plays and musicals, which led her to script development and teaching playwriting to kids in her early 20s.

Although she had extensive acting experience, Jess lacked formal dance training, gymnastics skills, or natural flexibility when she first stepped into a pole class in 2016. Since then, she has been committed to honing her strength and flexibility, thanks in part to the teachings of Hanna Denham and Ken Taylor, and her own passionate determination to succeed — with a few swear words along the way.

Jess has competed at regional, national, and international pole events, including Original Sin 2025 in St. Petersburg, FL, Skripped Down 2023 in Toronto, Haute Velour 2023 in Chicago, and multiple Pole Sport Org events in LA. She won the Old School New Face category and the Overall New Face Division at Exotic Generation USA 2022.

In addition to performing with CatHaus Revue in San Diego, Jess teaches pole dance at Dollhouse Fitness in Encinitas, sharing her expertise and passion for pole with others.

Ken Taylor

Ken Taylor began his lifelong exploration of movement and healing in 1973, when he first stepped onto the dojo floor to study karate. His martial arts journey soon expanded to include tai chi and kung fu, where he discovered a profound respect for the healing arts. Early in his kung fu training, Ken’s instructor taught him the fundamentals of massage, planting the seed for a passion that would shape his career.

By 1975, Ken was formally studying massage therapy, practicing on peers and refining his touch for decades. In 2000, he completed 100 hours of professional training at Mueller College, then pursued over 1,000 additional hours of study to earn his Holistic Health Practitioner (HHP) certification and a specialization in Zen Touch. He is also a certified Reiki practitioner, blending energy work with hands-on techniques.

Ken’s dedication to flexibility began in 1971 under his first kung fu instructor and grew into a disciplined daily routine that lasted more than 15 years. From 1981 to 2010, he shared his expertise as a personal trainer, aerobics instructor, and fitness coach across four gyms. Although he retired from active instruction in 2020, Ken remains deeply involved in the community—volunteering with Art in Flexion and continually advancing his martial arts practice.
