Strength training for circus is a term we use to explain training our body as a whole to get strong for performance. Understanding the foundation of your feet, hands, and its relation to your core.
It’s not only to use your body but to understand movement and be able to apply your body better to that movement.
Your understanding of the strength training and its affect on you as a performer and how it’s not about being bigger. It's about being more efficient and being more flexible.
Strength training achieves that. Being more in control of the movement will make you more in control of a performance based on the strength you will have. ◦
This is our main class with the most importance.
Offered Wednesday 7-9pm & Sunday 3-5pm.
To be considered for "Handstand Class" or "Aerial Class" you must have all of your splits and be able to do a full backbend and chinstand. This class will prepare you for this.
Abs class is a 45 min introduction to the abdominals and how they function.
* Rectus Abdominis
* Lower abs
You will learn the function of each group and how they relate to posture, daily life, and flexibility.

Handstand class starts with a warm-up. For those who desire more warm-up we have a "warm up hour" you can sign up for.
Each student is expected to know how to prepare their body for this class and was given permission by a coach at Art in Flexion to attend. Safety and health is important. If you need more one on one attention to achieve this we suggest private lessons.
This class will be a combination of handstand drills in contortion positions.
Back stretching, shoulder stretching, and neck stretching will be performed on each student.
Private sessions are for those looking to have a more in depth one on one experience. We will access your weaknesses and injuries to create balance in your body. Whether you are looking to get more attention with a specific skill or wanting to achieve a deeper understanding of your body.

3. The app will take you through our waivers and sign up system.
4. You must complete this before attending classes.
